Andrew launched The Destiny Project to create a vibrant hub where people of all ages could connect and share expertise.
Starting as a youth worker in Edinburgh back in 2012, Andrew developed specialised skills in empowering young adults – helping them grow holistically and reach their full potential.
Beyond his professional life, he’s deeply involved in community advocacy, gets his hands dirty with horticulture, and stays active through sports.

It's a genuine privilege to serve as the Volunteer Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Volunteer Coordinator for the Destiny Project – a role that sits at the heart of my professional commitment.
My background combines formal accreditation through the Institute of Leadership and Management with practical leadership forged during military service. This dual perspective cultivates distinctive strengths: resilience honed in demanding environments, adaptability across shifting priorities, and a pragmatic approach to strategic planning. Crucially, I've developed methodologies for unlocking creative solutions to complex challenges while fostering high-performing teams.
My driving purpose remains unwavering: creating tangible, positive change for younger generations. This isn't abstract idealism but the core motivation behind my leadership philosophy and mentorship approach. Leveraging this unique blend of structured expertise and frontline experience positions me to actively shape opportunities where future leaders can thrive and realise their potential.

I'm driven by making a tangible difference through my work – there's real fulfilment in seeing positive change take root. As a parent to a talented Northern Irish son carving his own path, nurturing potential feels deeply personal.
Currently training to become an English teacher, I'm actively honing the skills to ignite that same spark in students. This career shift isn't just a job; it's where my passion meets purpose.
TDP's 'Dream, Inspire, Achieve' ethos particularly resonates. It's more than a slogan – it's a robust framework offering genuine hope. By empowering young people to recognise their capabilities and contribute meaningfully, this approach can fundamentally reshape futures across our communities.

Greetings! I'm Maggie, Treasurer of The Destiny Project – a role I embrace wholeheartedly because I truly believe we're reshaping futures for young people across our community. Seeing tangible change through our youth programmes? That's what fuels my commitment.
Beyond spreadsheets and funding strategies, you'll find me trekking the Peak District with my two adventure-hungry terriers, Stickeen and Muir. Those muddy hikes are my ultimate reset button!
Mental health advocacy runs through everything I do. Whether challenging outdated stigmas in local forums or supporting individuals through tough times, I'm dedicated to fostering wellbeing – because thriving communities start with resilient minds.

Football's my passion off-duty, but what really drives me is creating tangible change for young people. Being part of The Destiny Project (TDP) gives me that genuine buzz – it's where I channel that commitment into making a proper difference.
