The goal of these sessions is to get the youth talking about their thoughts and ideas in addition to being educated on what mental health is and how to hold conversations surrounding mental health. During the weekly sessions, members will be given the tools to stand up for one another while doing a fun physical activity that caters to the groups’ interests. Activities may include but are not limited to walks, paddle boarding, and cycling.
Sessions are held once a week.

The goal of this program is to give young folks between the ages of 8 and 2 ,a support system to guide them to succeed in life. Mentees are referred by other agencies, health practitioners, social work, schools or self-referred starting at the age of fourteen. Mentees are ideally paired with a mentor who has similar life experiences to them. By the end of the six month period, TDP will evaluate the mentee to deem if they should continue with the program. If deemed ready to be done, TDP will aide the individual to move to a positive destination.
Coffee Support Mornings are open to parents of our children and young people who wish to come for a coffee, a biscuit and a chat. This is an all inclusive service that is aimed at promoting the health and wellbeing of those who attend using our peer centred approach. This service is a drop in service that runs twice a week during the school term time.
Health walks are offered to anyone who wishes to take part. This is a perfect introduction to walking while keeping physically healthy.
TDP aims to develop specialist health walks steered towards service users that have disabilities to promote a sense of togetherness and involvement in the community. These sessions are held weekly and would last between 20-40 minutes.
This service is open to parents with children who have disabilities or struggle with mental health. The primary aim of this service is to provide a safe space for parents with similar experiences to support each other and build relationships. We have meetings twice a week.
The Destiny Project Football provision called ‘Destiny United’ is aimed for children that are P1 to S3 and for community members ages 16+ year olds. The goal behind ‘Destiny United’ is to promote the physical health of players in an inclusive environment. This provision will break down barriers and create relationships through the power of football.
These sessions are for young people ages 16-24 to play football . This is a drop in session once a week that brings players together in the aim to support each other. There are opportunities to play in tournaments as a team.

Our Outdoor Adventures Services is a provision that promotes what the outdoors has to offer children, young people and their families. We have a particular interest in promoting the outdoors to members that are struggling with mental health issues or/ and have learning disabilities. The primary endeavour is to promote an all inclusive nature to this provision working alongside our friends at Beyond Boundaries (BBEL). We aim to run a program of outdoor activities from February to November and offer activities such as cycling, hill walking, water activities and bush craft.
We wish to create opportunities to give children, young people and their families the opportunity to climb hills and complete expeditions that would be risk assessed by our team. All service users would be given the appropriate training according to their ability. We aim to do activities such as orienteering, having small hill days as wel
We wish to create opportunities to give children, young people and their families the opportunity to climb hills and complete expeditions that would be risk assessed by our team. All service users would be given the appropriate training according to their ability. We aim to do activities such as orienteering, having small hill days as well as simple flat routes. These sessions will promote the peer centre approach we pride ourselves in while guiding service to be self disciplined, teamwork and to be able to stay safe in hill and mountain conditions.
All water activities would be under the guidance and experience of Beyond Boundaries East Lothian (BBEL). The activities range from canoeing/kayaking to paddle boarding and floating water seats.
The Friends of The Destiny Project hopes to bring people together of all walks of life to advocate for the ideas we have and our shared work across networks within Scotland and support our primary goal of ending the stigma of mental health by working together to create one loud voice.

We hope to use this service as a way to create working relationships and provide networking opportunities for those who are a part of this program. Additionally we would like to bring like minded organisations together for collaborative purposes. We have meetings every annual quarter (3 months) and are open to people who live and/or work in the communities we operate in.
The aim of The Community Network is to create a steering group within the communities we operate in to give thoughts and ideas; to be our internal auditing system. This community will aim to hold TDP accountable for what we do. We host meetings every six weeks and are open to people who live and/or work in the communities we operate in.
